Established in 2024, the Centre for Sustainability and Green Economy (CSGE) is a not-for-profit organisation registered as a trust under the Indian Trusts Act. The organisation facilitates nature-based and sustainability-oriented initiatives through project planning, implementation support, and capacity-building programmes in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

CSGE was created to address the growing need for integrated, nature-based approaches that strengthen ecological resilience, support inclusive development, and enable institutions and stakeholders to respond effectively to evolving environmental and climate challenges at national and global level.

This Trust is focused on collaborative projects involving the Central and State Governments and their agencies for the effective implementation of policies, programs, and initiatives across India. This collaborative approach ensures alignment of efforts with broader government strategies and can potentially lead to more widespread adoption of sustainable practices.

The CSGE is devoted to promoting sustainable development pathways that are in harmony with environmental preservation. We are driven by the conviction that economic progress and ecological conservation can move hand in hand. We aim to spotlight and tackle environmental challenges, particularly their effects on underserved communities.

At CSGE, our commitment lies in nurturing innovative ideas and fostering partnerships to achieve collective climate and Sustainable development goals, ensuring that the path to economic advancement does not compromise the health of our planet. We envision leaving a cleaner, healthier world for the generations to come.

At present, we're working in collaboration with various State Governments such as Orissa, Assam, Chhattisgarh and Delhi. Recently, CSGE has developed DPR for Ridge Interpretation Centre (RIC) for DMRC and is working as a consultant in executing the establishment of the interpretation centre.

We have just completed multiple training programmes as a part of capacity building programme of different stakeholders for Field Staff of Forest Department along with JFMC Members/ Village Council in Katghora Division of Chhattisgarh.

By actively participating in these projects, we are taking concrete steps towards achieving a more sustainable and resilient planet.

The Centre for Sustainable Green Economy is dedicated to advancing sustainable and environmentally friendly economic development pathways through rigorous research, Project Formulation, Capacity Building, effective policy advocacy, and concrete actions. The Centre engages with stakeholders both nationally and internationally to promote a greener economy and provide responsible environmental stewardship.
