To support our growing programme and research activities, CSGE is inviting applications for the position of Project Associate.
Role Overview
The Project Associate will support the planning, execution, and documentation of CSGE’s environmental research and programme activities.
This role requires sound subject knowledge, the ability to understand environmental issues, and strong coordination and communication skills. The selected candidate will work closely with the leadership and project teams to support research, policy analysis, documentation, and programme implementation.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Associate will be responsible for supporting the organisation in the following areas:
- Contribute to research and project implementation related to the environment, biodiversity, forestry, and natural resource management
- Assist in policy analysis, issue mapping, and thematic research on environmental and sustainability-related topics
- Prepare and review project documents, concept notes, research briefs, reports, and presentations
- Support data compilation, analysis, and documentation from secondary sources and field inputs (where applicable)
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders for project-related activities
- Assist in organising and documenting meetings, workshops, consultations, and knowledge-sharing events
- Maintain accurate project records, timelines, and documentation in line with organisational standards
- Support administrative and reporting requirements linked to funded projects
- Undertake any other responsibility relevant to project objectives as assigned by the organisation
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines:
- Environmental Science
- Sustainability Standards
- Natural Resource Management
- Forestry or related disciplines
- Biodiversity, Ecology, or allied fields
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of environmental issues, sustainability, and natural resource management
- Ability to interpret and analyse environmental policies, reports, and frameworks
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic research, analytical, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-based research environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable Attributes
- Prior experience in research projects, academic work, or sustainability programmes
- Familiarity with government policies, national missions, or international environmental frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Compensation & Benefits
CSGE offers:
- Consolidated remuneration: ₹4,20,000 per annum (inclusive of all components)
