The Centre for Sustainable Green Economy (CSGE) is a not-for-profit knowledge and advisory platform dedicated to advancing sustainable economic development and ecological conservation.

CSGE brings together experienced professionals including environmental economists, ecosystem governance experts, policy specialists, and former senior officials from forest and environmental institutions. The organisation works at the intersection of research, policy, and implementation, supporting evidence-based decision-making and practical solutions for environmental sustainability.

Our work focuses on areas such as environmental governance, biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, sustainability standards, and climate-related policy frameworks.

To support our growing programme and research activities, CSGE is inviting applications for the position of Project Associate.

Role Overview

The Research Intern will work closely with the CSGE research and programme team and contribute to ongoing environmental research and programme activities.

The internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to policy-oriented environmental research, documentation, and programme support. Interns may also develop their Master’s dissertation topic in consultation with the CSGE team, subject to mutual agreement.

Internship Responsibilities

The Research Intern will support the team in the following areas:

  • Supporting research activities related to environment, biodiversity, forestry, and natural resource management
  • Assisting in data collection, literature review, and analysis of environmental policies, reports, and frameworks
  • Contributing to the preparation of research notes, briefs, background papers, and presentations
  • Supporting documentation and analysis related to sustainable development initiatives and environmental governance
  • Assisting in the coordination of workshops, consultations, or stakeholder engagements (as applicable)
  • Maintaining structured records of research findings, references, and project documentation
  • Finalisation of the intern’s dissertation in consultation with the reporting officer, followed by a presentation to the reporting officer
  • Undertaking any other tasks aligned with CSGE’s research and programme objectives, as assigned by the team

 

Educational Background (Mandatory)

Applicants must be currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Environmental Science
  • Sustainability Standards
  • Natural Resource Management
  • Forestry & Wildlife
  • Biodiversity, Ecology, or related disciplines

 

Desired Skills & Attributes

  • Strong interest in environmental sustainability and natural resource management
  • Basic research and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and summarise technical and policy documents
  • Good written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Self-driven, disciplined, and willing to learn in a professional research environment

 

Internship Details

  • Internship Duration: 12–16 weeks
  • Mode: Full-time / Project-based (as assigned)
  • Location: CSGE Office, Sector 132, Noida

 

Stipend

During the internship period, the intern will receive a nominal monthly stipend as a token of appreciation for their commitment and contribution.
